15 Fitness Hacks to Bring Out Your Inner Victoria’s Secret Angel!
Every body shape should be embraced once fit & healthy, so regardless of how skinny or curvy you are, you should never feel anything less than beach body ready once you’re looking after yourself. An example of the ultimate fit bodies paraded in front of the world annually will forever be the Victoria’s Secret Angels. However, they work and train hard, promoting healthy living and self confidence. Let’s look at 15 tips from the Angels themselves!
#1 Miranda Kerr: Go Organic and Drink Alkaline Water
Australian goddess Miranda Kerr swears by the simple things, saying that drinking pure alkaline water and eating organic food keeps her in shape all year round. Alkaline water is just less acidic than regular tap water, which you can buy bottled, add minerals to make it yourself or buy a water ionizer machine.
#2 Core and Weights
It’s no wonder those models can effortlessly strut down the runway with those heavy wings perched on their backs, which reportedly weigh 30 pounds. Their abs of steel also didn’t appear out of nowhere. So start using the medicine ball and balancer in the gym!
#3 Taylor Hill & Candice Swanepoel: Gymnastics
Taylor Hill was a gymnast before becoming the youngest Angel on record, while many of the other models also do gymnastics as part of their workout regime, including Sara Sampaio & Candice Swanepoel. Justin Gelband is an Angel trainer who favours mixed workouts like this to get them in shape in three months or under!

Pretty much ALL of the models seem to swear by yoga as it keeps the body flexible, toned and strong. It keeps you mindful and meditative, which is a key part of staying loyal to a lifestyle and not a quick fix solution!
#5 Jasmine Tookes: P90X Workouts
Jasmine Tookes says that all year round she works out three days a week, and in the lead up to the show she amps it up to seven days a week! A key part of her regime she loves? Squats and P90X sessions, which is a 12-step intense workout over 90 days, including resistance and body-weight training, cardio, plyometrics, ab work, martial arts and yoga.

#6 Alessandra Ambrosio: Pilates
Similar to yoga, pilates is about muscle strength and improving their condition rather than fast paced movement. Where pilates differs from yoga is that yoga is used to improve flexibility of the body and joints in particular, where as pilates is used to relax tense muscles and build on their strength. Many of the models attribute it as a reason they maintain their fitness all year.

#7 Regular Fast-Paced Walks
The models are not only on the job when on the runway, as we all know by now, but work hard to keep runway ready on a daily basis. A part of their job consists of running from show to show, especially during fashion week, so all that fast-paced walking is a form of aerobics we should all be doing more!
#8 Go for a Run
Heidi Klum, Martha Hunt, Bridget Malcolm and Miranda Kerr are regularly photographed running outdoors, even together for team support. Running is a great way to burn fat and get the heart pumping, so either go for a jog on the treadmill or if weather permits, enjoy a breath of fresh air outside!
#9 Avoid Too Many Carbs, Dairy and Refined Sugars
It’s an obvious tip to eat healthily or the effects of any exercise won’t make enough impact. Models like Erin Heatherton, Joan Smalls and Adriana Lima say that cutting out carbs, refined sugar, dairy and excessively large portions is what helps them make the cut when it comes to their careers as Angels.
#10 Work for the Treats
Denying yourself the food you love will only make you miserable and most likely end in a binge fest. There’s no harm in having a few of your favourite guilty pleasures as long as it isn’t overtaking your good diet and exercise lifestyle. Alessandra Ambrosio loves a chip fest, and Jourdan Dunn eats McDonalds with Cara Delevingne after all!

#11 Natalia Vodianova: Blood Type Diet
Natalia Vodianova said there is only one diet she has ever tried, and who are we to dispute it works as she has stuck with it for five years now! The blood type diet is based on the idea that our blood type shows what diseases we’re prone to, so by sticking to certain food groups we can boost our overall health.
#12 Adriana Lima: Jumping Rope
Adriana Lima is a working mother and a top supermodel, so she really relies on fast, rigorous workouts to keep her in shape. Jumping rope is one of her favoured forms of working out, as it burns fat quickly and leaves you lean and ready for action.

#14 Karlie Kloss: Ballet
Along with gymnastics, boxing and yoga, having a background in ballet is something many of the models share. Karlie Kloss did ballet for 11 years before entering the modelling world, and she’s not done with it yet given all the models attend ‘Ballet Beautiful’ classes in the lead up to the show.
